"V" Couloir

Given our early transition to spring we decided it was necessary to seek alpine terrain with a solar aspect thus we set out for Atlantic Peak's southeast couloirs.  Upon arriving to the apron it appeared the surface of the "Atlantis" col was likley to be to warm by the time we finished our climb and summited, so we opted for the "V" col, which turned out to be a great decision as the entrance to the "V" col was classic!  We nailed it, the first pitch had a northerly shift to it and still held soft cold snow.  The second pitch corned up nicely as did the 4 mile ski out.

The summit "warmup" pitch leading down to the southeast couloirs provided some soft turns to loosen the legs before the steeps.  That Quandary looming in the background
