"Gatsby" Couloir

The week prior when we ski'd "orphan boy" Col, i couldn't stop looking at Palomino Pt to the south across the drainage.  I took way to many photos of it:)  With several north facing chutes marking the north face of the pk it just was begging to be ski'd.  The prominent snowfield to couloir lookers right of the summit spire became  our goal the following week.....And It was Money!  an absolute awesome climb, summit and ski!  Unforgettable day for sure!

"Gatsby" Col - Palomino Pt

By no means is "Gatsby" a recognized name...when we ski'd Keller Mtn the week prior the line caught my attention, so we made plans to ski it the following week.  I kept seeing an image of a face when i glanced at the peak.  Then i put my finger on it... the great gatsby eyes/face...  go google it and see if you can see it:)

"Snoopy's Backside" Couloir

The northern mountains received a nice storm overnight however the winds were being their typical destructive self up high.  Several of the weather stations at higher elevations recorded NW winds in the 40's with gusts reaching 70-80mph.  So we needed an aspect which was protected from the winds.....Nailed It..  2+ feet of dry low density POW... the climb up the couloir was a challenge to say the least... but man was it worth it!!!  JAPOW in CO!!
