Southeast Face

Spring break 2022! At Monarch Mountain with the boys. Declan is crushing it skiing and linking turns! Liam wanted to check out snowboarding this time and loved it!! Cant wait to be touring with these fellas! Each evening we recovered from the day at the resort with hours in the pool! After a few days the boys went home with grandpa and grandma while Kristin and I staid in the van and skied a few peaks. We may of poached a few hot-tub soaks too:)

Since we were in the area we decided to take advantage of the warming southern aspects in the Sawatch. From Salida you can see the long southeast face of Clover, it looked like good time, so we meet up with our friend Spencer and Salida local and had a great day in his backyard.

With this season’s challenging snowpack thanks to the Jan/Feb facet cycle, we decided to narrow our focus down to western aspects. Nailed this one:) The zone delivered an amazing day in the alpine with perfect snow conditions and unreal weather!
