Buffalo Mountain South Summit (12,772')

Southeast Face

*Greg and crew: Northeast Face from North Summit

One of those glorious days! Again no wind...really not kidding..we sat on the south summit of Buffalo Mountain for 45 minutes in January. Only a windless day would allow this:)  The group started out with 7 in total.  So we decided to split into groups at the parking lot and ascend and ride different routes on the Buff.  We synced our radios before heading out and kept in communication as we climbed our way to the mountains twin summits.  One group heading up the NE ridge of the caldron feature which splits the massive peak, the other group heading up the SE ridge.  After 4.5 hours each team reached their respected summits waved to each other and transitioned for a glorious 2800' vert line in near perfect snow.
