Another amazing Alaska trip in the books. Shanna and Forrest got hitched, we spent 4 glorious days camping and sea kayaking around Blackstone Bay going from glacier to glacier, exploring ice caves and eating bucket fulls of salmon berries all while hanging with Chip, Gina, Lucia, Otono and Johanna.

Liam had recently been requesting an adventure...so we decided to gather the camping, climbing, and biking gear and head to the hills. First stop was the Steamboat Springs area. After three nights of camping on Rabbit Ears pass while mountain biking, creeking, hiking and soaking in Steamboat we headed to Rifle Canyon to meet Chris and Kendall for some climbing. Rifle climbing is awesome! I'm hooked. We wrapped up the adventure week by indulging at one of our favorite restaurants, The Pullman, however the hotel and shower following dinner was the true indulgence after a week in the woods. The next day we hiked up to Hanging Lake before heading home. Beautiful!! Hanging Lake was added to our nations natural landmarks list back in 2011 while becoming our states 14th official natural landmark.
